Fall is officially in full swing with crisp, colourful leaves on the ground, throw blankets becoming permanent living room fixtures, and pumpkin-spice-everything on the menu. While we genuinely hope you’re enjoying a season of cozy gratitude and refreshing community, we can’t help but be excited for the next season to come…that’s right – our showroom is officially ready for CHRISTMAS! While every season of the year is special and exciting, there is no season more notorious for special treatment when it comes to decor, traditions, and all things ambience than winter.
If you’re one of those people who has been counting down to Christmas since December 26th, or who just loves the crisp air and cozy clothes of winter, this post is for you – take a look below to see some of our most festive and seasonal fabrics (courtesy of Decor-Rest), and just a tiny taste of the winter decor now on display in our Elmira showroom. Stop by to see the rest!
If you’re a lover of the classic red-and-green Christmas, these fabrics will make your day. Keep Christmas alive year-round by selecting your favourite material to cover your chair or sofa of choice. Or pull out all the stops at Christmas-time with an ottoman or toss cushions made with one of these festive fabrics.
If red and green is a bit bold for your taste, consider one of these refined fabrics featuring silvers, greys, and blues. These designs are perfect for coordinating a winter theme in your home, with a cool, snowy aura to them, but are also very capable of staying fresh and beautiful through the other 3 seasons of the year. Choose a textured, solid grey/silver for versatility with various accent colours and patterns throughout the year, or go with a blue & silver pattern to make a statement year-round.
Another outstanding (and by far the coziest) fabric choice for any winter-lover is a warm white or tan with a particularly welcoming feel. These fabrics are a mix of velvet, quilted, and knitted materials, all of which are perfect for curling up in for a night by the crackling fire. The added benefit is that these fabrics are extremely neutral in their tone, so you can keep the cozy feeling of winter with you year-round, without sacrificing the lighter, airier tones of the warmer seasons.
Of course, if it’s not time to refresh your furniture just yet, perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to explore smaller investments that can welcome winter into your home. Take, for example, this handful of winter-y paintings from Renwil, featuring snow-tipped birch trees in tranquil settings. Or consider adding a quilted toss cushion or a cozy throw blanket to your living room for the season – they’re practical and pretty!
