Do you offer in-home consultations and measuring?
Absolutely. Our team visits your home, recommends the best options for your lifestyle and décor, and handles all measurements to ensure a flawless fit.
What should I have ready before the consultation?
- Please clear the furniture from the area to speed up the measuring.
- Bringing inspiration from Pinterest or Instagram is helpful for design.
Do you need to measure, or can I send my measurements?
You are welcome to send your measurements to get started, but we will always verify them before finalizing your order.

How long does the full process take?
Expect the process to take about 4 to 6 weeks from consultation to installation. Keep in mind, things can get busier as the holidays approach.

What types work best for drapery?
- The best drapery fabrics are neither too heavy nor too stretchy, ensuring a graceful drape.
- Lighter fabrics may be paired with poly-cotton, dimout, or blackout linings for added body and light control.
What about fabric fading in sunlight—what are my best options to prevent this?
- Synthetic fabrics are your best bet for resisting fading in sunny spaces.
- We can add protective linings to shield delicate fabrics, such as silk, from sunlight.
What pleat styles do you offer?
We offer all popular pleat styles, such as French pleat (pinched at the top for an elegant look), Euro pleat (a modern pinch at the top), box pleat (straight, tailored folds), wave (gentle curves), pocket panels (rods slip through sewn pockets), and grommets (large eyelets for rods).
Can you match existing hardware or work around obstacles (radiators, trim, doors)?
We do our best to match hardware finishes (the colour and texture of rods and accessories) or work with your existing rods. We always plan installations to avoid obstacles like radiators, trim, or doors.

The ideal height depends on your style and your space. Some like drapery just above the trim, others halfway to the ceiling, and many love the drama of panels hung to the ceiling.
How wide should panels be relative to the window?
For a fuller and more luxurious appearance, let the panels extend several inches beyond the window frame.
Can you do bay windows, arched windows, or extra-tall ceilings?
- Absolutely. We handle bay windows, arches, and extra-tall ceilings, choosing the right hardware for every unique space.
- For extra-tall ceilings, additional charges may apply for taller panels and installation.
Who installs the drapery/window coverings—your team or a subcontractor?
Our trusted drapery installer works closely with our seamstress, while certified Hunter Douglas professionals handle the blinds.
How long does installation take?
Installation time varies: a large window may take an hour or two, while multiple rooms could require a full day.
What warranty is included?
- The product has a 25 Year / Lifetime Limited Warranty.
- Moving parts and components are warranted for 5 to 7 years, depending on the product.
- There is a 1-year service warranty after installation.
Are custom orders returnable?
Because each custom order is made specifically for your space, returns are not available.
Are your coverings child-safe (cordless options)?
- Yes. All our blinds and window treatments feature the latest child safety innovations, including a wide range of cordless and automated options to keep children and pets safe.

Do you offer blackout blinds?
- Yes, we offer blackout options. However, even with blackout fabrics, a small amount of light may filter in around the header.
- Choosing an outside mount can help reduce light bleed, though we cannot guarantee complete darkness.
